A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat allegedly stabbed her husband in the eye with a scissor after he asked to use her mobile phone to listen to music on YouTube.
The husband, Ankit, has filed a complaint against his wife, Priyanka, over the incident. A case has been registered and an investigation has been launched in the matter, an officer said.
Ankit had asked Priyanka for her mobile phone to listen to songs on YouTube, the officer said. However, she refused to give him the mobile saying that he should use his own phone for listening to songs.
As she refuted, an argument broke out between the two, leading to Priyanka allegedly stabbing Ankit in the eye.
Ankit’s family admitted to him a community health centre (CHC) nearby. The station-in-charge noted that further action will be taken as per the findings of the probe.
Last month, a 38-year-old woman was arrested for murdering her husband after he refused to take her to Dubai for her birthday celebration.
The incident took place at the couple’s flat in a posh residential society in Wanavdi area in Maharashtra’s Pune.
According to the police, the accused — Renuka — and Nikhil, a businessman in the construction industry — had a love marriage six years ago.
During prima facie, police found that on the noon of November 24, the couple had a fight because Nikhil did not take Renuka to Dubai to celebrate her birthday and did not give her expensive gifts on her birthday as well as the anniversary.
During the fight, in a fit of rage, Renuka punched Nikhil in the face. “The impact of the punch was so hard that Nikhil’s nose and some teeth were broken. With heavy bleeding, Nikhil lost consciousness,” the official said.
Earlier, in July this year, a 25-year-old woman had cut her husband’s genitals with a blade after she caught him watching his ex-wife’s Instagram reels in Andhra Pradesh’s NTR district.
