Suspended JDU MLC Manorama Devi's son Rakesh Ranjan Yadav alias Rocky Yadav has admitted that he fired at Aditya Sachdeva, police sources said on Saturday.
Rocky Yadav had allegedly shot dead student Aditya Sachdeva for overtaking his vehicle in Bihar on Saturday last week. The court had on May 10, sent Rocky Yadav to 14 days' judicial custody.
Yadav's mother, Manorama Devi, was suspended from the ruling Janata Dal United (JDU) in Bihar.
Suspended Janata Dal United (JDU) MLC Manorama Devi had filed an anticipatory bail petition in a local court on Friday.
Devi had been absconding after being booked under the Bihar Excise (Amendment) Act, 2016 for allegedly storing liquor bottles in her house despite prohibition in Bihar.
She is also accused the charge of harbouring her son Rocky who has been arrested for the killing of class 12 student Aditya Sachdeva on Saturday night.
On Saturday night last week, Aditya Sachdeva, a businessman's son who had just taken his Class 12 exams, was in his Swift car with his friends when he reportedly sped ahead of Rocky Yadav's Range Rover.
Aditya's friend alleged that Rocky Yadav and his guard fired in the air and forced them to stop the car. "They punched us. When we tried to leave the spot, someone fired at the car and a bullet hit my friend," he said.
