Sadhu shot at in ashram

PURI: Tension ran high at the Abhiram Parmahans ashram Karamal Kanas on Tuesday night after a sadhu Gopal Charan Das was shot at by an unidentified miscreant. Das, 65, was first rushed to the district headquarters hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. His condition is stated to be stable. The incident took place when Das was taking rest at his hut on the ashram premises. DSP Madhab Chandra Sahu rushed to the spot and inquiry is on.
