New Delhi: The Haryana Police team, trache Samjhauta Express blasts, have traced telephone calls, which were made before and after the blasts.
According to reports, the bomb was kept in a suitcase and was planted before the train left Delhi.
Sources have also revealed that the bombs were fused together in the Capital itself.
Kumar also displayed explosives recovered from the train, including 14 kerosene-filled plastic bottles, and sought public help to know if anybody had seen, sold or manufactured them. He also showed a digital timer used to trigger the blasts.
A piece of cloth was put inside these bottles to prolong the fire, he said adding the nature of the chemicals was being ascertained.
Senior Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials said they had got information that two persons disembarked as soon as the train moved out of Old Delhi. "Many people noticed the two getting off but assumed they had come to see off someone," PTI quoted a senior RPF official as saying.
An anti-terrorism squad of the Mumbai Police has reportedly found leads. Home Minister Shivraj Patil said, "We have sufficient information but we are not going to reveal for the sake of investigations."
Meanwhile one person was detained on Monday in connection with the blasts on the basis of information given by eyewitnesses.
