Sania-Cara pair advances to French Open pre-quarters
The fifth seed Indo-Zimbabwean pair needed just 59 minutes to dispatch the unseeded Canadian-Pole team 6-1 6-2 in the second round.

Paris: Sania Mirza and Cara Black trounced Gabriela Dabrowski and Alicja Rosolska to move to the pre-quarterfinals of the French Open women's doubles event, here on Saturday.

The fifth seed Indo-Zimbabwean pair needed just 59 minutes to dispatch the unseeded Canadian-Pole team 6-1 6-2 in the second round of the Clay Court Grand Slam.

Sania and Cara faced only one breakpoint in the lop-sided contest and broke their rivals four times. The fifth seeds won 57 points to 37 of their rivals.

They are now up against Serbia's Jelena Jankovic and Russian Alisa Kleybanova, who got a walkover from Sharon Fichman and A Pavlyuchenkova.
