Senior civil and police officials from across the state would interact with officials of judiciary at Patna on Saturday to discuss ways and means to expedite disposal of criminal cases through scientific investigation.
Law enforcing agency at the ground level including District magistrates, Superintendents of Police, Chief Judicial Magistrates, public prosecutors and lawyers have been invited at the day-long seminar at Patna for better coordination in speedy disposal of crimes through scientific investigation, Director General of Police Abhyanand said.
Abhayanand also added that similar programme was held earlier in 2006 and it rendered good results. He said stress would be on use of scientific investigation to cut time in solving crime. The seminar is important considering the fact that the state has witnessed several crimes in recent days.
