Several families across Punjab are waiting for the bodies of their loved ones to perform their last rites.
One of them is the family of 28-year-old Davinder who died in Riyadh in April 25. Despite repeated emails by the family to the External Affairs Ministry, there has been no reply from either the authorities or the employer on sending back his body to India.
The body of Bhupender Singh from Punjab's Tarn Tarn who died in Dammam on July 28 was brought back recently after his family sought help from the political leadership.
The report said there were several other families which have been waiting for weeks to bring back bodies of their dear ones who died in the Middle East.
