KURNOOL: The temple town of Srisailam is witnessing heavy rush and an estimated 3 lakh pilgrims have come from far and near to participate in the Maha Sivaratri Brahmotsavalu which began on Monday.Amidst devotees chanting Om Namasivaya, the town is wearing a festive look with religious fervour and the temple authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event. Cultural programmes, folk dances like kolatam and goravayya dance have been getting good response.District collector Ramshankar Naik, superintendent of police M Sivaprasad are reviewing the arrangements. There are complaints about poor sanitation and lack of drinking water.
