New Delhi: The deadline for Bharti Yadav's lawyers to tell the court when she will depose, ends on Friday.
Bharati is the key witness in the Nitish Katara murder case.
The trial court had directed Bharti Yadav to depose on September 28. She was then given eight days to inform the court when she would record her statement in person.
Meanwhile, Bharti Yadav moved a petition before the Delhi High Court seeking to quash the order that declares her a proclaimed offender. The High Court will hear that petition on October 16.
Earlier, Bharti, who currently lives in London, had asked for permission to depose through video conferencing. But the court had rejected that demand.
Nitish Katara was kidnapped and murdered in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh in February 2002. Bharti Yadav's brother Vikas Yadav and cousin Vishal Yadav are the main accused in the case.
