HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and CPI members staged a walkout from the Assembly on Saturday protesting the state government’s refusal to adopt a resolution on separate statehood for T.The TRS members stalled the Assembly proceedings for the third consecutive day demanding a T resolution. However, Roads and Buildings minister Dharmana Prasada Rao said there was no need to adopt a resolution on T in the Assembly as the Centre is currently holding consultations on bifurcation of the state. “Stalling the House proceedings is nothing but wasting the precious time. There are more serious issues like drought before the Assembly. Hence, the TRS members should not stall the House proceedings, which will displease people,” he said.Protesting the Congress government’s refusal to adopt a T resolution, the TRS and CPI members staged a walkout.Earlier in the day, TRS MLA KT Rama Rao told reporters that they wanted adoption of a T resolution first and a discussion on the no-trust motion later. After the debate on the no-trust motion, the Congress government would certainly collapse and there would be no scope to adopt a T resolution, he said.
