KARIMNAGAR: The first class magistrate of Secunderabad railway court Bala Koteswara Rao granted conditional bail to Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) Assembly floor leader Etela Rajender and 11 others on Wednesday.All of them furnished two sureties each and were released from the district jail in the night. The magistrate directed them to appear before the Kamalapur police station every Sunday of the month till a chargesheet was filed against them.The TRS leader and others were held while staging rail roko at Uppal railway station in Kamalapur mandal on Oct 15.Cases were registered under various sections of IPC and Railway Act and sent to judicial custody following which they were detained in the district jail. TRS MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao who submitted bail papers to the district jail superintendent Sunil Babu. Speaking to mediapersons, the MLC said the railway court authorities wondered why the Telangana Rashtra Samiti leader was booked under strong railway acts like Sec 150 (a) while Sec 147 relating to tresspassing was sufficient.“TRS leaders were booked under strong Acts due to pressure from the chief minister and the DGP,” he alleged, adding that no trains passed through the Uppal route when Etela Rajender and others were staging the rail roko.The MLC said that they would move the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) and the high court to fight against the false cases registered against the party leaders during rail roko.
