CHENNAI: Sporting a Wrangler Denim and a Wrangler T-shirt, MTV VJ Ranvijay was seen checking out denims at Wrangler showroom in Express Avenue Mall, recently. Well, he wasn’t shopping for his wedding but was present to hand over the keys of a brand new 678cc Hyosung ST7bike to Praveen Selvam, the winner of the Wrangler contest. A few months ago, Wrangler conducted a search for the ‘True Wanderer’, a contest for any free-spirited biker. The contestants had to explore new paths and places and blog about it. Shortlisted by an online poll and by a panel of biking experts, the top 10 bikers were chosen for the finals. Each of them were given a pair of Wrangler jeans and were flagged off for their journey. The finalists were given only seven days to explore the places and were expected to wear the pair of jeans throughout their seven-day road trip. Based on their blogs, the judges declared Praveen Selvam, a software professional from Chennai as the winner of the contest. Speaking on the occasion, the special guest, Ranvijay, an ardent biker, appreciated the quality of the Wrangler jeans. “I’m a biker and I love to wear comfortable clothes while riding. It’s very hard to wear just a pair of jeans and travel for seven days, but the finalists of the True Wanderer contest have done it and I’m sure it has been a great experience for them.”
