Two robbed of gold jewels

BANGALORE: Two persons, including a woman, were robbed of their gold ornaments in separate incidents in the city.Mahesh Roy Chandani( 47), a resident of Kempapura in Hebbal, was going in a car, along with his family members, near Rajeev Gandhi Circle in Sheshadripuram on Saturday night, when two men on a motorcycle waylaid his car.When Chandani got down from his car and went to question them, one of them held Chandani with his shirt collar while the other snatched his gold chain weighing 30 grams worth `80,000 and sped away.Later, Chandani filed a case at Sheshadripuram police station in connection with the incident.In another incident reported in Basaveshwaranagar police station limits on Sunday, two men on a motorcycle robbed Yashodha (25) of her gold earrings at knife point, when she had come to fetch water from a tap in front of her home in Sanegoravanahalli. The police have registered a complaint in this connection.
