Undertrial shot at, killed in Gurgaon

Gurgaon: An undertrial was shot dead while two others were injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire at them near a district court at Rajiv Chowk.

Lal Singh died on the spot while Sudesh and Jai Singh have been injured in the shootout. The incident took place when the three were being escorted to Jaipur for investigations in a murder case that they were accused in.

All three were rushed to a nearby hospital where Lal Singh succumbed to his injuries. Senior Superintendent of Police, Hanif Quereshi suspects that it is a case of inter-gang rivalry. He said that no policeman had been injured in the attack.

Police says that when member of the gang was also injured when the police retaliated to their firing.
