Sitapur: A five-year-old was among two minor girls raped in different parts of Uttar Pradesh, police said here on Tuesday.
A 14-year-old Dalit girl was abducted and raped allegedly by one Meraj (22) in Leharpur area in Sitapur district on Sunday night, they said. Police said that an FIR was lodged after which Meraj was arrested on Monday.
In Deoria district, a five-year-old girl was raped allegedly by a 15-year-old in Bhatparani area on Sunday evening, police said. The victim's family members informed police about the incident on Monday after which the teenager was arrested, they said.
