KAKINADA: Union Public Service Commission member Y Venkatarami Reddy has said the UPSC will bring in reforms and transparency in its functioning to ensure that merit candidates get good jobs.Speaking at a meeting held at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTUK) on Monday, Reddy said he would discharge his duties with dedication and commitment. I came here for the blessings of Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy of Annavaram after assuming charge as UPSC member, he said. JNTUK vice-chancellor Allam Appa Rao lauded the development initiatives of Reddy as former chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). University registrar V Ravindra said Reddy laid the path for development of technological universities in the state. Later, Reddy was felicitated by the JNTUK vice-chancellor. JNTUK directors GVR Prasad Raju, K Padma Raju, S Srinivas Kumar, N Appa Rao, Vijay Kumar, IS Prabha, EV Prasad and others were also present on the occasion.
