HYDERABAD: The Central Bureau of Investigation told the Economic Offences Court here on Tuesday that Jagathi Publications vice-chairman V.Vijay Sai Reddy, who is in remand, was tight-lipped over various transactions and needed to be interrogated further to know more about the investments made by foreign firms into companies floated by Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Following a petition seeking extension of his custody, the court extended the police custody of Vijay Sai Reddy till January 17. The court also directed the CBI to interrogate the accused between 10 am and 5 pm in the presence of his advocate while permitting him to stay in the Chanchalguda prison.With his five-day custody having come to an end, CBI officials produced Reddy before Economic Offences Court magistrate R Sudhakar Naidu on Tuesday. The CBI counsel said during the custody Reddy did not say anything in the first three days. He cooperated only for two days but parted with little information. ''He revealed nothing in connection with the Jaganmohan Reddy’s illegal assets. We need to know more about transactions and investments made by foreign companies in Jagan's company,'' the CBI said. Reddy, said that his client had been served more than 30 notices by the CBI to appear before them in the name of questioning him, and the agency questioned him for 300 hours.
