KOZHIKODE: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan and expelled communist leader Berlin Kunhanandan Nair met at the PWD Guest House here on Thursday night.Both leaders, on Friday, clarified that the meeting was quite accidental and bid adieu after complimenting each other. Achuthanandan, who was on his way to attend the anniversary of Koothuparamba firing in Kannur, stayed at the Guest House on Thursday night. Kunhanandan Nair was returning to his home in Kannur from the Karipur Airport. “While returning from the Air Port after seeing off a relative, I went to my son-inlaw’s home near the Guest House at around 8.30 pm.As he was not there, I went to the guest house for a refreshment and happened to see Achuthanandan getting out of the car. We shook hands and talked for a few minutes. Nothing more happened,” Berlin Kunhanandan Nair told reporters on Friday. Achuthanandan also aired the same response.
