BANGALORE: Chilly wintry days are back. Its time to pull your warm clothes out of the wardrobe as the mercury level is further expected to go down by 2-3 degrees in the coming days, says the weather man.Speaking to Sunday Express, B Puttanna, Director, Bangalore Meteorological Centre, said, “For the past few weeks dry weather condition was prevailing, but all of a sudden the temperature seems to have gone down since Friday morning.”Giving reason for the prevailing weather condition, he said, “The forming of low pressure area and depression over the south of Kanyakumari, which was well marked on Friday, is the main reason for the decrease in temperature. In addition, the surface winds which are very strong are blowing towards the eastern direction, are further making the weather chilly.”“The depression is expected to intensify further and move towards the Arabian Sea. This will bring down the temperature in city and the State. Light to moderate rain and thunder showers are expected over a few parts of south interior and coastal Karnataka as well. If similar condition prevails rainfall is further expected to increase,” Puttanna said. The maximum temperature is expected to fall about two degrees below normal from the prevailing 27 degrees. However, due to the intense clouding, the minimum temperature will remain normal. This weather condition is expected to prevail for another few days.
