CHENNAI: Pandeeswari (38) of Thirumangalam in Madurai has moved the Madras High Court for constitution of a special investigating team to probe her complaint about the alleged role of actor Vadivelu and his associates in the death of her husband Velusamy, who worked as his manager. In her complaint dated August 19 this year, Pandeeswari alleged that the death of her husband was not a case of suicide, as claimed by the police. It was a murder at the instance of Vadivelu, she alleged.According to Pandeeswari, having two school-going children, her husband Velusamy was working as an accountant in the film company of RajKiran and they were living in Vadapalani. Her husband only introduced Vadivelu to RajKiran, who gave him a chance in his film ‘En Raasaavin Manasile’. Later, Vadivelu gained popularity and her husband became his manager. When she was away in Madurai, she received the news about the death of her husband on Feb 4, 2009 in Chennai.The police registered a case of suicide. Pandeeswari contended that it was not a case of She lodged a complaint with the DGP with a copy to the then Home Secretary. Alleging that the police had not taken any action on the complaint, as Vadivelu had close connection with the previous DMK government and campaigned for it in the May 2011 polls, she filed the present petition.
