Patna: A 26-year-old woman was beheaded by Maoist insurgents in Bihar 's Nawada district on Saturday, claimed a note which was found near her dead body.
"She was a police informer and worked against the spirit of people's revolution. The local police station in-charge will meet the same fate,” read the note.
Victim Jaya Devi was a native of Baragad village which is situated near Kauakol jungle bordering the Maoist-affected state of Jharkhand.
Her husband works as a labourer outside the village. She was living with her minor son who raised the alarm when he could not find her mother on Saturday morning.
