Woods becomes papa Tiger

New Delhi: Less than 24 hours after finishing second at the US Open on Father's Day, World No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods' wife Elin gave birth to a daughter.

The 31-year-old's daughter, named Sam Alexis Woods, was born early on Monday morning.

Woods, who is very reserved about his private life, announced the news on his personal website.

Woods is now expected to compete at the British Open next month, where he is a three-time champion, after saying he would miss the tournament if it clashed with his daughter's birth.
