Kama Chinen from Japan died on May 2, aged 114 years and 357 days, Guiness World Records said on its website.
The world's oldest person is now Eugenie Blanchard, a woman born on February 16, 1896 on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, according to the Gerontology Research Group, which maintains a registry of the oldest people.
