Yechury blames Centre for inflation

PARLAKHEMUNDI: The three-day State Conference of CPI (Marxist) began here on Friday. Addressing the opening session, Rajya Sabha member Sitaram Yechury criticised the Centre for its faulty policies which he blamed for the current inflation.He said the Centre should stop tax concession to the corporates and instead use the money for strengthening socio-economic infrastructure thereby generating employment in the country.The tribals of R Udaygiri block submitted a memorandum to Yechury stating that their lands have been forcefully occupied by the non-tribals and urged him to take up the issue in Parliament.CPM State Secretary Janardan Pati, members Jagannath Mishra and AK Patnaik spoke.
