Yuvan, who directed and played the lead role in the film 'Sinthanai Sei', is now gearing up for the release of his next flick 'Adhyaayam'. Though his second film 'Kallaatam' has been in the cans for a while now, the filmmaker seems to have moved past it and shifted focus to 'Adhyaayam', which is expected to hit the screens soon.
"The film will be a dark comedy and audience will not be able to decide if it’s a horror or a thriller till the climax. It will be a mixture of Chandramukhi and Kanchana," he says.This time around, he has restricted himself to staying behind the camera and has left the acting to newcomers Sharan and Varsha K Pandey.
This will be a reunion of sorts for Yuvan and music director Thaman - as both of them debuted in 2008 with Sindhanai Sei. Ironically, Adhyaayam will have no songs but depend on scintillating background score. “Thaman himself felt that songs will be a hindrance to the plot, considering how fast-paced it is. But re-recording is an important component of Adhyaayam and Thaman will start working on it soon,” says Yuvan. Vijay Valsan, who is the brother of Mynaa cameraman Sukumar, debuts as the cinematographer in the film.
