Bollywood weddings are incomplete without Manish Malhotra's elaborate and opulent lehengas. The king of couture, changed the way Bollywood looked at fashion. The turning point of his career was Urmila Matondkar's movie 'Rangeela', where his funky and uber-stylish outfits created a lot of buzz. The knotted top and hot pants sported by Urmila became an instant hit. The style got copied and were sold like hot cakes. It was only then that Filmfare awards, for the first time introduced a new award category, just to honour the designer.
