A few weeks ago, Bhumi Pednekar went through a saree phase. The actor nailed every saree look and gave all fashionistas enough inspiration for the upcoming festive season. Now, it looks like the actor is over her saree phase. She recently took to her social media to share her fresh look with her fans. Pednekar was spotted in a teal top which she had paired with a skirt. Interestingly, the skirt was repurposed from a rug. The look has got not only the fashion gurus but also her fans talking.
Taking to her Instagram, Bhumi Pednekar shared pictures of herself in this carpet-skirt look. The actor was styled by Manisha Melwani in an outfit from Georges Hobeika’s Spring 2024 Couture. The actor wore a teal turtleneck full-sleeve top which had stripe details in a contrasting colour. The top was overall simple and had no embellishments or embroidery. She paired the plain top with a blue skirt that was repurposed from a rug. The wrap skirt had blue floral embroidery all over the fabric. It had fringe details on the hem and a high slit on the side which lent it a playful flair.
Sharing the pictures on her social media, she wrote, “Tonight… What I love about this piece is that the skirt is repurposed from a rug.” She tagged the team behind the look in the caption.

While her outfit did most of the talking, the actor kept the accessories and makeup quite subtle. For the accessories, she only went with statement rings on both of her hands. To break the overall blue monotony of the outfit, she paired her outfit with forest green heels. She opted for a subtle glam look where she only went with blush and bold lips. She left her hair loose and straightened it for a poker-straight look.
While her look has not sat well with fashion gurus and her fans, she has managed to get people talking as she continues to experiment and push the boundaries of fashion.
