The Bachchan family is known for their exquisite and extravagant celebrations for festivals like Diwali, but birthdays have always been a family affair for them. Abhishek Bachchan, who just ringed in his 40th birthday was snapped in Maldives spending some quality time with his family including wife Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda and their little bundle of joy Aaradhya. While everyone in the family is busy with prior work commitments, it seems they planned this well in advance for the birthday boy. Amitabh Bachchan shard this picture on social media and captioned it as, "To all that have sent messages through me for Abhishek on his birthday .. gratitude and thank you!"

Abhishek Bachchan posted another picture where they're are seen holding little Aaradhya's hands. He captioned the image as, "Life is a journey which is far more enjoyable when your holding hands with the ones you love."

On professional front, Abhishek Bachchan is shooting for 'Housefull 3', Amitabh Bachchan just wrapped up the first schedule of Sujoy Ghosh's 'Te3n' in Kolkata and Aishwarya Rai perhaps took a break for her 'Sarbjit' shoot.
