The awards season is upon us! And one of the first awards ceremony of the season, the 73rd Golden Globe Awards were seen as the precursor to Oscar. The award ceremony awarded the best of the best from the world of cinema and television. Comedian Ricky Gervais was the host for the ceremony - his fourth time fronting the awards. Actors like Leonardo Di Caprio, Cate Blanchet, Eddie Redmayne, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence were nominated for their performance in the past year. With front running movies like 'Carol', 'Room', 'Spotlight' and 'The Revanent' competing for the the Best Motion Picture, 'The Ravanent' swiped three major awards with Best Actor, Best Director and Best Film.
Following it was 'Steve Job', which bagged Best Supporting Actress and Best Screenplay. 'The Martian' won Best Actor (Comedy) and Best Motion Picture (Comedy), which surprised even the film's director Ridley Scott.
