Aamir Khan, aka Mr Perfectionist, is busy shooting for his next project Sitaare Zameen Par which is expected to hit the theatres in December. Now, as per a recent report by Telugu entertainment portal Aakashavaani’s X handle, the Dangal actor is in advanced talks with south director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a highly-anticipated pan-India film. However, neither the director nor the actor has confirmed the news. Reportedly, Aamir, Lokesh and the production house Mythri Movie Makers are in discussions to finalise the details of the project and if everything goes well, an official announcement of the film will be made.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Aakashavaani shared a post on Sunday and wrote in the caption, “BIG BREAKING – A Mindblowing Combo!! #AamirKhan, #LokeshKanagaraj and #MythriMovies are teaming up for a PAN India film soon. According to our very reliable sources, the project is CONFIRMED.”

Talking about Lokesh, he is known for helming films like Maanagaram, Kaithi, Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Master and South Superstar Kamal Haasan’s Vikram. His last directorial venture was the action thriller Leo, which starred Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja and Trisha in lead roles. Released in 2023, the film received decent responses from fans and critics.
Lokesh is currently working on Tamil action thriller Coolie which stars south superstar Rajinikanth, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan and Mahendran in significant roles. On the other hand, Aamir was last seen in the film Laal Singh Chaddha opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film was released in 2022.
After the release, Aamir has been busy producing films. His recent production Laapataa Ladies received huge appreciation from both fans and critics, and was also screened at the Supreme Court Of India. His next production venture is Lahore 1947 starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.
On the acting front, he will be next seen in Sitaare Zameen Par, which reportedly focuses on Down Syndrome. It is expected to hit the theatres on the occasion of Christmas 2024 and will see a big Bollywood clash with Varun Dhawan’s much-awaited action-thriller Baby John.
