Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth surprised fans with their wedding announcement. The couple revealed they silently got married at a temple. The photos are breathtaking and the venue is gorgeous. The temple is special to Aditi and Siddharth. Speaking with Vogue earlier this year, she said, “The wedding will be centred around a 400-year-old temple in Wanaparthy that is of significance to my family.”
Although Aditi did not reveal the name of the temple, one Google search was enough to reveal that the temple is called Sri Ranganayaka Swamy Temple, better known as Shi Rangapur Temple. It is situated in the village of Srirangapuram, in Telangana, about 160 kilometers from Hyderabad.
History of the Temple:
According to Times Now, the temple was built in the 18th Century and is a beautiful example of the Vijayanagara architecture. It is believed that the temple’s architecture is inspired by the popular Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam, Tamil Nadu. The King of Vijaynagara at the time, King Krishnadevaraya, wanted a similar divine structure in his kingdom and thus the temple came into being.
The temple is popular in the state, with devotees from different parts of the state and neighbouring states coming down frequently to offer their prayers. Many weddings also take place at the temple.
Since Aditi and Siddharth’s wedding also took place there, the popularity of the temple will only amplify. Taking to Instagram, Aditi shared gorgeous photos from the wedding venue. “You are my Sun, my Moon, and all my Stars… To being Pixie Soulmates for eternity…to laughter, to never growing up To Eternal Love, Light & Magic ❤️ Mrs & Mr Adu-Siddhu ,” she captioned the photos.
The couple had been dating for a few years before Siddharth proposed to Aditi. The couple announced their engagement earlier this year and kept their wedding details a secret.
