Dalljiet Kaur Holds Mangalsutra In New Photo Amid Separation Battle With Husband Nikhil Patel
This comes days after Dalljiet Kaur also shared her wedding video online. However, she was trolled for the same and later deleted the clip.

Dalljiet Kaur’s separation from her estranged husband Nikhil Patel has been making headlines for a long time now. Amid all this, the actress took to her Instagram stories on Thursday evening to share a picture of her mangalsutra. In this latest photo, Dalljiet was seen holding mangalsutra in her hand. A mangalsutra is a form of jewellery worn by Indian women to signify their marriage.

This comes days after Dalljiet also shared her wedding video online. In the clip, Dalljiet was seen dressed as a bride as she talked about feeling apprehensive about her second marriage. She mentioned that she decided to take a deep breath and say, “Let’s do it.” She captioned the emotional video, “1 year three months back!”

However, soon after the video was shared, netizens expressed disappointment and fans thronged the comments section, trolling her. “Please try to move on,” one of the users wrote. “Have some self-respect. The man cheated on you,” added another. Dalljiet later deleted the video from her Instagram handle.

Rumours of Dalljiet and Nikhil’s separation first made headlines in February this year i.e. after 10 months of their wedding. It all started after the actress left everyone shocked by deleting all her wedding pictures from her Instagram handle. Not just this, she also dropped “Patel” from her name.

However, Nikhil confirmed their separation last week when he told E-Times, “In January this year, Dalljiet decided to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon and return to India, which ultimately led to our separation. We both realized that the foundation of our blended family wasn’t as strong as we had hoped, making it hard for Dalljiet to settle in Kenya. In March 2023, we held an Indian wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Though it held cultural significance, it was not legally binding. This ceremony was intended to reassure Dalljiet’s family about her move to Kenya.”

“Despite our efforts, Dalljiet found it challenging to adjust to life in Kenya, missing her career and life in India. The complexities of our family dynamics became increasingly apparent,” he added.

Reportedly, Nikhil later also sent a legal notice to the actress and accused her of harassment. ETimes reported that Patel said under the Indian Penal Code, The Information Technology Act of 2000 (India), and The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act of 2012 (India), Dalljiet Kaur’s social media posts accusing him of an extra-marital affair were wrong.

Meanwhile, for the unversed, this was Dalljiet Kaur’s second marriage. The actress was previously married to Shalin Bhanot but the two parted ways in 2015 after she accused him of domestic violence.
