After good collections on Gandhi Jayanti, Devara: Part 1's box office earnings saw a significant dip on Day 7, Thursday.

Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1 has been going through a complete rollercoaster ride, experiencing its fair share of ups and downs. After performing remarkably at the box office over the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, the film’s box office collections saw a significant dip in the following days. Devara opened in theatres last Friday, collecting Rs 82.5 crore on Day 1, and has so far raked in over Rs 200 crore within seven days of release.

Devara: Part 1 Box Office Collections Sees A Dip

After opening with satisfactory figures, Devara saw different numbers every day. After collecting Rs 38.2 crore on the second day, the film raked in Rs 39.9 crore on its first Sunday. However, the collections went far lower on Days 4 and 5, with only Rs 12.75 crore on Monday and Rs 14 crore on Tuesday.

While the October 2 holiday added much to the pace, bringing in around Rs 21 crore on Day 6, Wednesday, the following day once again witnessed a major drop post-Gandhi Jayanti. Completing one week in theatres, the film collected only Rs 7.25 crore on Day 7.

At the end of the week, Devara’s box office collections stood at Rs 215.6 crore. According to Sacnilk, while the majority of collections came in from the Telugu version (Rs 164.25 crore), others included Kannada (Rs 1.7 crore), Tamil (Rs 4.8 crore), Malayalam (Rs 1.23 crore), and Hindi (Rs 43.75 crore).

What Is Devara About?

Devara: Part 1 features Jr NTR in the lead role alongside a talented cast of Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and Prakash Raj, among others. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film is set in a post-independence coastal village where the son of a village chief embarks on a mission to fight smuggling. Jr NTR plays dual roles as Devara and Varadha, while Saif portrays Bhaira. It is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Kosaraji Harikrishna, Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Hari Krishna K.
