Farah Khan Reveals Shah Rukh Khan's SHOCKING Fee For Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa: 'He Made Less Than...'
Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest superstars in the country today. However, did you know his salary in his initial days was lower than Farah Khan?

Farah Khan shared an interesting insight into Shah Rukh Khan’s initial days in the film industry. The choreographer-filmmaker revisited her first meeting with SRK, which was on the sets of Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa in 1994, and said that he earned lower than her for the film. She said he earned Rs 25,000 for the film. Farah added that Shah Rukh also assisted her in the film.

Speaking with Radio Nasha, Farah said, “The budget was very low. Shah Rukh was paid Rs 25,000 for that movie. I was the highest paid person on that movie, let me tell you. I was paid Rs 5,000 per song, and there were six songs. Just because of that, I was paid Rs 30,000. We couldn’t even afford an assistant. So, that full song ‘Aana Mere Pyar Ko’, we cast regular people from Goa.”

Farah added she was ‘scared’ of meeting Shah Rukh because she heard she was ‘brash and arrogant.’ However, her perception changed when she met him.

“We started the shoot in 1991, and I was also new. We were in Goa, and I’d only read an interview of Shah Rukh in which he sounded very brash and arrogant. I was very scared. I remember what he was wearing and doing when we first met; Kundan Shah introduced us. Sometimes, you instantly hit it off with somebody. You feel like you’re friends from school. That’s what it was like with Shah Rukh. We had the same interests, we’d read the same books, we had the same sense of humour,” Farah added.

Farah and Shah Rukh went on to not only become great friends but also collaborated on many movies. He also starred in her directorial debut film, Main Hoon Na, followed by Om Shanti Om. They recently also made headlines for hosting a party for Ed Sheeran.

On the work front, Shah Rukh delivered three hits in 2023 — Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. He is now rumoured to be starring in a film titled King, co-starring his daughter Suhana Khan.
