Malayalam actor Joju George, after impressing one and all with his acting skills for 28 years, is going to step into uncharted territory. He is turning into a writer and director with his upcoming film. He has penned the script for his next action thriller titled Pani, which he has also directed, along with appearing as the main protagonist in the film. After much anticipation, the first look teaser of Pani is now out. The 56-second clip does not offer much to the fans; instead, it just reveals the looks of the characters of the movie and a tag line which says, ‘An eye for an eye.’ While the plot is not revealed at all in the first look, it is known that the film is based around rivalry between two gangs in Thrissur, Kerala. Silamabarasan TR, who co-stars with Joju George in the upcoming Tamil film Thug Life shared the first look on his social media handle and wished the team success.

Pani also stars Rinosh George, Seema, Chandhini Sreedharan, Abhinaya, Abhaya Hiranmayi, Babu Namboothiri, Prashanth Alexander, Sujith Shanker, Ranjith Velayudhan, and Bitto Davis among others. On the technical front, Pani has Venu and Jinto George as the cinematographers. Sam CS and Vishnu Vijay are credited as the composers, while Manu Antony handles the edits.
In a recent episode of Bigg Boss Malayalam 6, Joju George visited the sets and introduced viewers to his leading lady Abhinaya, who suffers from hearing and speech difficulties. Joju said that he was taken aback by her acting prowess despite being differently-abled. He also said that initially he had reservations about casting Abhinaya, but was left pleasantly surprised by her talent and dedication.
Joju George is also appearing soon in Kamal Haasan’s upcoming Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. He will also be seen in Suriya’s still unnamed film helmed by Karthik Subbaraj. He is also set to make his mark in Hindi cinema with a thriller directed by Anurag Kashyap.
