There’s some exciting news for Gutar Gu fans. The much-anticipated show’s second season has officially entered its production stage. It is set to premiere this year, exclusively on Amazon miniTV, the free streaming service by Amazon. The initial season, a popular coming-of-age tale featuring the lead characters Ritu and Anuj – played by Vishesh Bansal and Ashlesha Thakur – gained immense popularity, making it one of Amazon miniTV’s most-watched series last year. Sikhya Entertainment, led by Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga, is bringing back the second season of Gutar Gu. Directed by Saqib Pandor, the upcoming six episodes will delve into the renewed connection between Anuj and Ritu. Amazon miniTV’s Head of Content, Amogh Dusad, expressed delight in continuing the highly-acclaimed series, stating that Gutar Gu had resonated with audiences right from the start.
During the inaugural season, Ritu and Anuj adeptly manoeuvred the emotional highs and lows of teenage friendship and romance, exploring various facets of love. The forthcoming season tracks their ongoing adventures, as they confront fresh challenges and navigate the intricacies of life, careers, and the evolving expectations they hold for each other.
