How Much Comedian Kushal Badrike Recieved For His First Major Role

The comedian has successfully captured the attention of the Hindi-speaking audience with his work in Madness Machayenge, a comedy reality show airing on Sony LIV. The comedian-actor started his career through Marathi plays and went on to star in some successful film projects.

In the latest episode of Madness Machayenge, the comedian opened up about his first-ever major role and how much he was paid for it. According to him, he was paid Rs 3000 for his role in the 2005 film Jatra.

Kushal shared the clip from the show on his official Instagram handle, detailing on his whole experience as a newcomer. He revealed that since he was new to the industry, he thought he was going to be paid Rs 3000 per day, for the next 30 days of the shoot. Hilariously recalling his small mistake, he signed the film and then found out it was a package of Rs 3000.

Speaking further, Kushal revealed that after the film’s first schedule, his father passed away. The revelation brought the show’s host Huma Qureshi and fellow contestants to tears. On the day of his film’s premiere, his mother brought a photo of his father, the actor further revealed. He ended his story by declaring how each of his Jatra co-stars are “superstars” in Marathi entertainment now.

Released on October 28, 2005, Jatra is helmed by Kedar Shinde. The cast of the film includes Bharat Jadhav, Siddhartha Jadhav, Kranti Redkar, Vijay Chavan, Kushal Badrike and Priya Berde. It is produced by Kedar Shinde and Bela Shinde while Ajay-Atul is the composer. Rahul Jadhav is the cinematographer and the editing is done by V N Mayekar.
