Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan’s son, made a notable debut with the film Maharaj. The film was released on Netflix and received favourable feedback from both fans and critics. Junaid received widespread acclaim for his performance and has surely made his father proud. Aamir made sure to celebrate his son’s outstanding debut, and a glimpse from the party has been doing rounds on social media.
Aamir Khan, Junaid Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Panday and Maharaj director Siddharth P. Malhotra were all smiles as they posed for a selfie. Everyone dressed casually but were beaming as they gathered to celebrate Junaid’s impressive debut. Maharaj, produced by YRF Entertainment, was based on the Maharaj Libel Case of 1862, and Saurabh Shah’s novel about it. Apart from Junaid, it starred Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, Sharvari Wagh and other prominent actors. Junaid played Karsandas Mulji in the Netflix film generating a stir with his unique portrayal.

Unlike many other actors, Junaid Khan had a comparatively late debut. Speaking about his late start in the film industry, Junaid stated, “Before Maharaj happened, I had been receiving scripts. I’ve been doing plays in Mumbai since 2017. At that time, I would also be offered film scripts and get calls for auditions and readings, on an on-and-off basis.” Furthermore, Siddharth P Malhotra, the director, and Aditya Chopra, the producer, saw his audition for another film before roping him in for Maharaj. He remarked, “This is my first film because this is the first thing that worked out for everybody.”
Moreover, Junaid said that he has received a lot of praise for Maharaj. Many industry professionals who like the film have contacted him. He also had many conversations with Aditya Chopra who appreciated the film and his role in it.
Meanwhile, after making his debut, Junaid Khan has several other projects lined up. He is all set to star with Sai Pallavi in Ek Din which is produced by Aamir Khan’s production house. Reportedly, the film has been shot in Japan. Junaid is also expected to act in a romantic comedy alongside Khushi Kapoor which is expected to be a remake of the Tamil film Love Today. However, official details are yet to be revealed.
