Actor Jayam Ravi has entertained the audience on the silver screen with his acting prowess in romantic comedies, thrillers and historical dramas. Now, as per the reports, Ravi is all set to debut as a filmmaker as well in the entertainment industry. According to the reports, prominent comedian Yogi Babu will headline this film.

Currently, there are no confirmed reports regarding this film’s title, plot, cast and other aspects. According to reports, Jayam had also narrated the story to the comedian in 2020. Reports state that the Ponniyin Selvan actor would find a suitable time for his direction because he was busy with his acting schedule.

In an interview, Yogi Babu said that whenever Jayam Ravi starts working on the film, he would have an important role for him. Before embarking ahead in a career with the direction, Ravi worked as a second assistant director in the film Aalavandhan. Suresh Krishna directed this film headlined by Kamal Haasan.

As of now, Ravi has shifted to Mumbai after his divorce from his wife Aarti, and as per the Times of India, occupies a flat in the busy area of the city. He announced his divorce on Twitter.

Jayam Ravi talked about the divorce in an interview with the India Today group. He said that he decided to file for divorce due to a feeling of extreme suffocation that arose after a certain point. According to the Ponniyin Selvan actor, he had left the house several months ago, taking only one car. Jayam described himself as a nomad at this time. Jayam Ravi and wife Aarti got married in June 2009. They are parents to two sons, Aarav and Ayaan.

Jayam last acted in the film Siren, written and directed by Anthony Bhagyaraj. Starring Keerthy Suresh, Yogi Babu, Samuthirakani and others in important roles, this film has received positive reviews from the audience. The viewers appreciated the film’s theme and the filmmaker Anthony’s work. He is also trained in the classical dance form Bharatanatyam. In addition to his dance background, Jayam Ravi is skilled in martial arts.
