Something similar happened with actress Mrunal Thakur, who played the role of a mother in Hi Nanna; the child’s role was played by Kiara Khanna. Recently, Mrunal Thakur claimed that Kiara Khanna will always be her first child and if and when the actress has a biological offspring of her own, then she will consider them to be her second child. The video from her interview is now going viral. In the interview, Mrunal Thakur – where she can be seen wearing a dusty pink outfit – claimed, “She (Kiara Khanna) is my first kid. Whenever my child is born, they will be the second one, because she is my first child. Because that’s the bond that has developed.” She further added that the little one calls her “Yashna” or “M”. The star was all praises for Kiara Khanna and said, “What a beautiful actress. She would just speak through her eyes and it was beautiful to learn from her.” She continued, “That little one did not realise that she had taught me.” The clip further showed a few precious moments with her on-screen daughter.
Kiara Khanna reacted to the clip and wrote, “Grateful and blessed to have you M. I love you more and miss you a lot. Meet me soon. I feel so blessed to have you.” Mrunal Thakur reacted by dropping red heart emojis. A user was left confused and wondered if Mrunal Thakur has a biological child or not. The comment read, “Yaar koi mujhe bhi batao she has a daughter (Someone please tell me if she has a daughter or not)?” Another user explained, “In the film Hi Nanna, this little girl played the role of Mrunal Thakur’s daughter and the bond they shared while filming became strong. So she is talking about that little girl here.”
In 2023, Mrunal Thakur starred opposite Nani in the film Hi Nanna. Kiara Khanna was seen as a child artist in the family drama. The film was centred around the emotional bond and relationship of a single father and his daughter.
