The much-awaited film Oru Kattil Oru Muri has been in the headlines since the project was announced. Viewers were eagerly waiting for more updates for the film. Meanwhile, the makers announced on Wednesday that Oru Kattil Oru Muri is all set to release in theatres on October 4. The upcoming film was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on April 27. The film features Hakkim Shah, Poornima Indrajith and Priyamvada Krishnan in the lead roles. It is directed by Shanavas K. Bavakutty, who is popularly known for his films Kismat (2016) and Thottappan (2019).
Oru Kattil Oru Muri also stars Shammy Thilakan, Vijayaraghavan, Jaffer Idukki, Ganapathi, Janardanan, Swathi Das Prabhu, Prashant Murali, Vijay Kumar, Jibin Gopinath, Manohari Joy, Thushara Pillai, and Harishankar in other prominent roles.
The film marks the comeback of veteran screenwriter Raghunath Paleri, who is also acting in the film in addition to penning it. A highly renowned scriptwriter from the 1980s and early 1990s, Paleri has written several noteworthy films, including My Dear Kuttichathan, Ponmuttayidunna Tharavu, Piravi, Meleparambil Aanveedu, Pingami and Vanaprastha.
Oru Kattil Oru Muri has cinematography by Eldhose George, editing by Manoj, and music by Ankit Menon and Varkey. The film is produced by Saptha Tharang Creations Pvt Ltd. in association with Vikramadithyan Films.
Oru Kattil Oru Muri is said to revolve around Rukmangathan, a driver from Kochi, who happens to stay at Akkamma’s apartment due to certain circumstances.
Earlier, the makers released the promos, which received immense appreciation. It also suggests that the film features Poornima Indrajith as Akkamma, who is fixated on a cot she shared with her husband for seven months. The film reportedly has a runtime of 125.32 mts.
Lead actor Hakkim Shah also has the upcoming Malayalam-language action thriller film Bazooka in his pipeline. The film stars Mammootty in the lead role and is backed by Dolwin Kuriakose, Jinu V. Abraham, Vikram Mehra, and Sidharth Anand Kumar under the banners of Yoodlee Films and Theatre of Dreams.
The music for the film was composed by Midhun Mukundan, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Nimish Ravi and Nishadh Yusuf. However, the makers have not unveiled the release date yet.
