Priyanka Chopra Calls Angelina Jolie 'Angel', Sends Vivienne Love on Tony Award Win: 'You're a Force'

Priyanka Chopra congratulated Angelina Jolie and Vivienne Jolie on their win at the Tony Awards 2024. On Sunday, Angelina’s co-produced Broadway show, The Outsiders, picked up several awards, including Best Musical. Angelina had previously revealed it was because of Vivienne that she came on board of the musical.

Sharing a picture from the Tony Awards night on her Instagram Stories, Priyanka wrote, “Huge congratulations to this angel who deserves everything in life and more! Congratulations on winning the Tony for best musical for The Outsiders and also multiple awards and 12 nominations!! You’re a force and I’m so inspired by you everyday @angelinajolie. Congratulations Vivian (sic).”

For the unversed, The Outsiders is a Broadway musical which Angelina co-produced. The show won 12 awards, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical, at the 2024 Tony Awards.

Speaking with People recently, Angelina had revealed it was because of her daughter Vivienne that she got on board of the musical. “She saw an early workshop a few times and then invited me to it. Viv is a young artist who focuses her efforts on her support of others. [Vivienne] has been there to assist in any way she can and has learned so much from [score and co-book writer] Justin Levine and the whole creative team,” Angelina said.

In videos and photos gone viral on social media, Angelina and Vivienne are moved to tears after watching director Danya Taymor win the Best Direction Of A Musical for The Outsiders.

Meanwhile, Priyanka has been busy with her upcoming projects. Priyanka is busy filming for her new film, The Bluff, in Australia. She recently celebrated her mother, Dr Madhu Chopra’s birthday in Australia. Sharing pictures from their day out, she wrote, “Happiest birthday to the most magical woman I have ever known. thank you for sharing your grace with us. Thank you for helping us become the best versions of ourselves, our matriarch, our leader, my mother, happy birthday @drmadhuakhourichopra.”
