Mark your calendars as one of the most romantic tales of the early 2000s is returning to theatres this September. Tum Bin, starring Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sandali Sinha, Himanshu Malik and Raqesh Bapat in lead roles, is still loved by fans for the romantic plot and impeccable cast of the film. Tum Bin is directed by Anubhav Sinha.

PVR Cinemas announced the good news through a post on Instagram. Featuring a poster of the 2001 romantic drama, the post was attached to a caption suggesting that Tum Bin will re-release at the PVR INOX screens on September 20. It read, “Timeless love story returns! Experience the magic of love, loss, and hope all over again as Tum Bin graces the big screen once more. Re-Releasing at PVR INOX on 20th September.”

Fans couldn’t contain the excitement after the post made it to the Internet with one of them even writing, “Best film to watch. Koi Fariyaad is my favourite track from the movie.”

“Badly wanna see. kuch din delay release krte,” added another. One of the users remarked, “Always my favourite movie.”

In case you don’t know, Tum Bin explores the story of a man seeking redemption after a traumatic incident as he tries to rebuild a collapsed company and win over the deceased’s fiancee. Apart from the lead cast, Tum Bin also stars Vikram Gokhale, Amrita Prakash, Dina Pathak, Manoj Pahwa and Navneet Nishan in supporting roles.

While Priyanshu Chatterjee essayed Shekhar Malhotra, Sandali Sinha won hearts with her nuanced performance with her portrayal of Pia Shah. Meanwhile, Raqesh’s character Amar Shah dies in an unfortunate accident at the beginning of the film.

Besides its emotional plotline, Tum Bin also emerged as the musical hit of the year upon its release in 2001. Renowned names like Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, the late Jagjit Singh, KS Chitra, Udit Narayan and others came together for the film’s musical album, composed by Nikhil-Vinay. Faaiz Anwar was the lyricist of the songs for the film.

Interestingly, Tum Bin was also remade in Telugu in 2003. The film was titled Ela Cheppanu and starred Shriya Saran and Tarun in important roles.
