The consecration of Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya is a highly anticipated event scheduled for January 22, with devotees eagerly awaiting the occasion. Renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj crafted the selected statue of Lord Ram out of three, according to Union Minister Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi. The grand celebration in Ayodhya on January 22 will witness the participation of several prominent personalities, including Dipika Chikhlia, renowned for her portrayal of Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan television series, who will be a special guest at the inauguration program of Ram Mandir.
In a recent interaction with Aaj Tak, Dipika Chikhalia shared her excitement, describing the day as historic and deeply meaningful. Expressing her devotion to Lord Ram, she emphasized the emotional significance of his return to Ayodhya after 500 years. As a devoted follower, having portrayed Mata Sita, this moment holds particular sentimental value for the actress.
Dipika Chikhalia conveyed her surprise and joy upon receiving the invitation from the RSS office. They acknowledged her as Sita Ji, emphasising her importance to the entire country and urging her to be present at the event. Grateful for the recognition, Dipika expressed her happiness at being considered synonymous with Sita Ji.
However, the actress also shared her sadness over the absence of an idol of Mother Sita alongside Lord Ram in the upcoming installation. She had hoped for the inclusion of Mother Sita’s statue from the beginning but expressed her disappointment at the decision. In light of this, Dipika Chikhalia appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting the installation of Mother Sita’s statue alongside Lord Ram in Ayodhya.
She emphasised her desire for Mother Sita to have a significant presence in the celebrations, stating that it would bring immense joy to everyone if Sita Ji was included alongside Lord Shri Ram.
