Shah Rukh Khan Arrives In Kolkata With Heavy Security For KKR vs PBKS Match; Video Goes Viral

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has arrived in Kolkata amid heavy security for Kolkata Knight Riders’ match against Punjab Kings for the Indian Premier League team (IPL). The match will be held at Eden Gardens on Friday evening. Shah Rukh is the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders. He often attends the matches and shows his support for his team.

Shah Rukh Khan turned up the style quotient as he arrived in an oversized black T-shirt, black pants and his hair tied in his signature-style bun. Videos of the actor from the airport have gone viral. Check out a paparazzi video here:

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will soon be seen in a film with Suhana Khan. Titled King, the film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, and Siddharth Anand will be overseeing the action. The buzz is that the father-daughter duo will be shooting the film in London.

According to a report shared online by Boxoffice Worldwide, the team is planning to shoot intense action scenes in London. The film’s shoot will begin as early as June. The portal also stated that their production team has ‘ambitious plans, focusing on filming high-octane action scenes, which will be a major part of the storyline. Reportedly, King is touted to deliver a ‘thrilling cinematic experience, complete with a high-octane chase sequence.’

This news came soon after several reports claimed that SRK will be playing a grey-shaded character, much like Don. On the other hand, Suhana Khan is undergoing massive training to pull off the action sequences in the film. Reportedly, Gauri Khan and Siddharth Anand are jointly producing the film, with a staggering budget exceeding Rs 200 crore. News18 couldn’t verify the claims at the time of publication.

Earlier, according to a report in Pinkvilla, it was revealed that “Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh have been constantly in touch with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan with multiple meetings from October 2023 to February 2024. Sujoy is meticulously working on the script with Sid and SRK. Designing world-class action sequences rests fully on Siddharth.”

Speaking about the film’s plot, a source added, “The flavour of action in King will be very different from what SRK has done in Pathaan and Jawan. This one would be sleek, with a lot of chase sequences. However, the core plot is emotional and driven by the story. It has lots of twists and turns, which is the reason why Sujoy has been bestowed with the responsibility of direction.”
