Sudhanshu Pandey left everyone surprised recently when he announced his sudden exit from Anupamaa. While the reason for him quitting the hit show isn’t known as of now, several unconfirmed media reports claimed that the actor left after his fallout with Rupali Ganguly. Recently, Aashish Mehrotra, who used to play the role of Sudhanshu’s son Toshu in the show, also shared that he was ‘shocked’ when he got to know about Pandey’s decision.
“It was shocking for me too. Mujhe pe social media se hi pata chala. I was way too shocked. But I agree with whatever he said in his video. One should definitely try and take up new things as an actor. Regarding his portrayal of Vanraj, I think he is the most good-looking ‘Vanraj Shah’,’ and his portrayal of the character will be missed a lot. I want to wish him all the best,” Aashish told Free Press Journal.
Reacting to the reports that Sudhanshu had a fallout with Rupali, Aashish added, “Dekho, agar ek ghar mein bartan hai toh wo toh khadkenge hi. Baaki, what is the reason behind his exit, I have no clue since I am not a part of the show anymore.”
Asked if he noticed any differences between Sudhanshu and Rupali when he was a part of the show, the Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 contestant added, “No, I have not seen anything like this. Honestly, in a professional set up these things are common. Workspace mein ye choti moti nok jhok chalti rehti hai, par koi isey ghar thodi leke jata hai.”
In 2022 also, reports of an alleged rift between Sudhanshu Pandey and Rupali Ganguly also made headlines. It was said that the two actors were not on talking terms. However, later, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Sudhanshu rubbished such reports.
“My reaction is, ‘Why don’t you come to the sets and watch?’ Simple as that. You’ll know what happens on the sets. It’s absolute fun all the time. We are always running around, poking fun at each other, cracking jokes. It’s a very childlike atmosphere on the sets. We are always having fun nonstop. When you read something about rifts and fights, it’s good for entertainment. They say they have heard a rumour, I say when you hear a rumour, that will be a rumour because it’s only a rumour. A rumour is an answer to your question itself,” he told us.
Meanwhile, netizens are also shocked to see that Sudhanshu Pandey and Rajan Shahi have unfollowed each other on social media.
