Thalapathy Vijay has been making headlines since the much-awaited film The Greatest of All Time was announced. It is said to be the actor’s second-last film before his full-time entry into politics. Meanwhile, according to the latest reports, Vijay bought two tickets for an IPL match. Do you know who Vijay bought tickets for?

According to reports, actor Vijay bought IPL tickets for Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. In a recent media interaction, actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar said, “It was Thalapathy Vijay who bought the tickets for the first two IPL matches I saw.”

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is a popular actress who appears in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films. She made her debut in 2012 with the Tamil film Podaa Podi. Later, she worked on many popular projects, including Tharai Thappattai and Tenali Ramakrishna BA. BL, Pakka Commercial, Veera Simha Reddy, and Maruthi Nagar Police Station, to name a few.

The actress was recently seen in the Telugu action thriller film Sabari. It was written and directed by Anilkatz in his directorial debut and produced by Mahendra Nath Kondla. The film stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the titular role alongside Mime Gopi, Ganesh Venkatraman, and Shashank. The film score was composed by Gopi Sundar, while the cinematography was done by Rahul Shrivatsav and Nani Chamidishetty, and the editing was handled by Dharmendra Kakarala respectively.

While she will next be seen in the upcoming project, Raayan. This Tamil-language action thriller film was written and directed by Dhanush in his second directorial venture. The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. It stars Dhanush, leading an ensemble cast that includes Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, S. J. Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Saravanan. Raayan is scheduled to be released in theatres on June 13, 2024.

Talking about the actress’s personal life, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was engaged to Nicholai Sachdev on March 2, 2024. Soon, the couple will tie their knots.

Vijay’s film The Greatest of All Time, or GOAT, also features Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, and Yugendran Vasudevan in pivotal roles. As per recent reports, over 80 per cent of the film has been shot in Russia. It is also rumoured to be a story of time travel, featuring Vijay in dual roles.
