Karan Singh Grover was born in a Sikh family in Delhi and moved to Saudi Arabia long ago. He did his schooling at the International Indian School, in Saudi Arabia and then got a degree in Hotel Management from an institute in Mumbai. Before venturing into the TV industry, he used to work as a marketing executive at the Sheraton Hotel in Oman.
After returning to India, Karan Singh Grover started his professional career as a model. He debuted with the MTV show, Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi in 2004. Following this, the actor worked in serials like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Dill Mill Gayye, Qubool Hai and others. He has also participated in reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3, Nach Baliye 3 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 3. After getting success in the TV industry, the actor debuted in Bollywood with the film Bhram. He had a brief role in the film. It was released in 2008. With fewer opportunities on his way, the actor was struggling to become a known face in Bollywood. In 2015, Hate Story 3 proved to be the breakthrough for the actor. It was commercially successful at the box office. It was directed by Vishal Pandya and starred Karan Singh Grover, Sharman Joshi, Zareen Khan and Daisy Shah in lead roles.
In the same year, Karan Singh Grover worked with Bipasha Basu for the film Alone and during its shooting, the duo fell in love with each other. The following year, the couple decided to get married. It was not the first marriage of the actor, rather, it was his third. Karan Singh Grover’s first marriage was with actress Shraddha Nigam, but their relationship broke after 10 months. The actor’s second marriage was with actress Jennifer Winget. This relationship also lasted only for two years.
Karan Singh Grover is among the highest-paid stars on TV. From 2019 to 2020, he reportedly used to charge Rs 3 lakh as a fee for an episode of Kasautii Zindagii Kay sequel. According to media reports, Karan Singh Grover’s estimated net worth is expected to be Rs 24 crore.
