Captain America had to be someone Thor, the God of Thunder, would prefer to follow rather than lead. That person ought to have been someone Robert Downey Jr.’s character Iron Man would respect. Hence, Chris Evans achieved the unthinkable. He transformed into Steve Rogers on the inside and out. Evans’s ability to capture the spirit of the character on screen, even in the briefest of moments, left audiences in awe. The younger generations, who still look up to Evans on the screen, are living proof of this fact. In a viral video, a toddler can be seen imitating what appears to be one of his favourite superheroes, Captain America.
Immediately obeying Evan’s orders, he is holding Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir. When the Avengers team gathers to take on Thanos, the child is seen pacing the room. How else could the feelings that millions of people experienced in the theatres be captured? The toddler so aptly encapsulated the essence of the ultimate climax at such a young age.
The video was shared on Instagram by Evans’ fan page. It has since garnered over 2 lakh views.
Among the most significant and adored MCU characters is Chris Evans’ Captain America, who appeared in at least one MCU film between 2011 and 2019. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Steve Rogers’ future has been a mystery for years. However, Captain America: Brave New World may have finally hinted at what became of Chris Evans’s superhero.
Captain America’s Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure appeared to come to a close with the arrival of Avengers: Endgame. Steve Evans grew older and handed his shield to Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie. At the end of Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam assumed the role of Captain America after receiving a prestigious shield from Steve Rogers.
As the new Captain America for the MCU, Mackie will now take the helm and guide the ensemble of Captain America: Brave New World. The series does not address what happened to Evans’ Captain America. However, based on the first teaser for Captain America: Brave New World, it appears that Marvel may have finally hinted that Steve Rogers is indeed dead in the MCU, as many had speculated.
