Jaya Bachchan has time and again made it clear that she is not a fan of the paparazzi culture. The veteran actress has made headlines for losing her temper at the cameraman. While most of the times, the reason has been rooted back to invasion of her privacy, one of the times was because they quizzed her about her daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Back in 2013, Jaya was attending Subhash Ghai’s wife’s birthday party when the incident took place.
As reported by Business Standard, Jaya was making her way to the party when she was asked about Aishwarya. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani star lashed out immediately, asking him why he was addressing Aishwarya by her first name. “Kya Aishwarya Aishwarya bula rahe ho; tumhari class mein padhti thi kya? (Why are you calling her Aishwarya? Was she your classmate?),” she shouted.
However, in a recent appearance in front of the paparazzi, Jaya was in a happier mood. She recently walked the red carpet rolled out at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding ceremony. At the event, she posed with Amitabh Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and grandchildren, Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda.
Earlier in the day, Amitabh shared a picture with Jaya, hinting that they might be shooting for a new ad. In the photo, Big B was seen holding an umbrella for his actress-turned-politician wife. While Amitabh sported a white kurta pyjama, Jaya looked graceful in a blue salwar suit. “T 5074 – …. and the rain it raineth every day .. even on set at work,” Big B wrote.
On the work front, Jaya was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. The film released last year and was a big hit. The film also starred Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi. The film was directed by Karan Johar.
